Our Vacation

Today wraps up our vacation, we had a great time off. Here are some pictures & a quick recap of what we did.

On Friday the 11th we set off for a road trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. We decided to drive as this was our first trip away from home with lil' Davey & didn't know what to expect. From our house this was a 11 hour drive so we knew we had to make some stops along the way.

Our first stop was at the University of Virgina. We needed to stretch our legs so we walked around their Arboretum.

We decided to stay over in Virgina just outside of Richmond. Davey was silly :)


We stayed with Nana & Pop-Pop Snyder at their condo at the South Beach Resort. Everything was very nice, both inside & poolside.

It was Bike Week at Myrtle Beach, checkout lil' db with Pop-pop's Harwee.


Monday was the only day we hit the Beach. Davey did pretty well. Surprisingly, about an hour went past till the sand made it's way into his mouth. The weather was nice for most of the week, but Cat was afraid little Davey would get too much sun so we found other fun stuff to do.


Throughout the week, we hitup the shops and restaurants at Broadway at the Beach & Barefoot landing. We hit up Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach. David loved the tall women making balloon animals. We also spent some time looking at the fishes at the Ripley's Aquarium. At Barefood Landing, it was a fun time at Dicks Last Resort.







I was also able to get some golf in too, my Dad & I played at Myrtlewood. We each shot under 70 (yeah right!) Also, the five of us played a round of mini-golf at the Jurassic Golf course. Cat just won out by one point over Pop.


We also wanted to checkout some other outdoor activities so we found a place called Brookgreen Gardens. They had tons of beautiful sculptures, flowers & even a wildlife reserve.








We headed back home this past Friday, Davey did amazing and we were able to drive straight home with only 4 minor pit-stops.

This weekend we stayed back at homebase to love up Max as she really missed us. Today we took it easy and went for a stroll at the Macungie Park. Here is Davey loving up the swings.

Yesterday we set off for our venture to Myrtle Beach, SC. We decided to take the scenic route and make some stops along the way. Here are some pictures from Virgina University's Arboretum.

Wittle Swimmer

Davey had his second swimming class this weekend. I decided to tag along to take some pics and video tape it. He did very well again. This is good practice for him since next week we leave for Myrtle Beach (woohoo). Cat & I are very excited to get away on a trip. Since it has been over 1 year since we went anywhere. Hopefully he wont be afraid of the ocean. Here are some action shots fro his class.

I also have been busy making some changes to the bedroom. Since we held off starting the basement till we get back from vacation I decided to change the bedroom around a bit...mostly fresh colors, new bedding, curtains and a few nick nacks. Still not complete but here are a few shots so far www.dailyvw.com/bedroom; to us it's like a whole new room. We are very happy with the turn out so far.
